FAQ

Facial pain questions answered.

Common patient questions before booking.

  • I've seen ENT and neuro already. What's different here?
We look at the bite, jaw joint, and surrounding musculature in more depth than most specialists. Roughly 40% of chronic facial pain has a dental component that gets missed.
  • Will it require surgery?
Very rarely. Most facial pain responds to non-invasive treatment. Appliances, Botox, or physical therapy coordination.
  • Does insurance cover this?
Sometimes, partially. TMJ-related facial pain sits between dental and medical. We verify coverage and explain what is and isn't covered before treatment.
  • Can you work with my other specialists?
Yes. We routinely coordinate with ENT, neurology, PT, and chiropractors. We see ourselves as part of a team, not the team.
  • How long until I feel better?
Highly variable. Some patients see meaningful improvement in 4 to 6 weeks. Complex cases take longer. We set realistic expectations upfront.
