INSURANCE & PAYMENT

Clear numbers before any treatment.

Advanced Dental Care is out-of-network with dental insurance plans, and that does not stop you from being seen here. We file your dental claims, bill medical insurance when a sleep or TMJ diagnosis supports it, and give you the full number in writing before treatment begins.

HOW IT WORKS

Four things to know about paying for care.

Insurance should not be the reason you put off care. Here is exactly how it works here.

  • Out-of-network, not out of reach

We are out-of-network with dental plans, and you can still be seen here. Many PPO plans pay toward care at out-of-network offices.

  • We file the claim

Our front desk submits your dental claims and helps with anything your insurance company asks for.

  • The number, in writing

After the exam you get a written plan and cost. Nothing begins until you approve it.

  • Financing available

CareCredit financing and in-house payment options can help spread out larger treatment.

SPECIALTY CARE

Sleep, TMJ, and medical insurance.

Some of the care we provide is medical, not just dental. When it is, we bill it that way.

  • Sleep apnea appliances

When a sleep study documents sleep apnea, most medical insurance plans cover oral appliance therapy. We handle the medical billing.

  • TMJ and facial pain

TMJ care sits between dental and medical insurance. We verify coverage and explain what is and is not covered before treatment.

  • Therapeutic Botox

Botox for documented bruxism or TMJ can be billed to medical insurance. Cosmetic Botox and filler are self-pay and priced upfront.

FAQ

Insurance and payment, plainly answered.

The questions our front desk hears most. Still unsure? Call (801) 375-1414 and we will walk through your plan with you.

  • Are you in-network with my dental insurance?
No. We are out-of-network with dental insurance plans. That does not mean you cannot be seen here, and it does not mean your plan pays nothing. Many PPO plans pay toward care at out-of-network offices. Call with your plan details and we will help you understand your benefits before your visit.
  • Do you file insurance claims for me?
Yes. We file your dental claims, and the front desk helps gather any additional information your insurance company requests.
  • What does out-of-network mean for my cost?
Your plan decides what it pays based on your benefits, and any remaining balance is your responsibility. Because the insurance company makes the final payment decision, any estimate we give is an estimate, not a guarantee. We explain the expected cost before treatment so you can decide with clear numbers.
  • Will medical insurance cover sleep apnea or TMJ treatment?
Often, when a documented diagnosis supports it. If sleep apnea is documented, most medical insurance plans cover oral appliances. TMJ care sits between dental and medical insurance, so we verify coverage first. Bring your medical insurance card if you are coming in for sleep or TMJ care.
  • Do you offer financing?
Yes. CareCredit financing and in-house payment options are available. Approval and terms come from the financing provider. Ask the front desk which option fits your treatment.
  • Are cosmetic and facial aesthetic treatments covered?
Cosmetic Botox and dermal fillers are self-pay, priced per unit or per syringe, and stated in writing before treatment. Therapeutic Botox for documented bruxism or TMJ can be billed to medical insurance.
  • When will I know what my treatment costs?
Before it starts. After the exam, the doctor explains what they see, and you receive a written plan with the cost. Nothing begins until you approve it.
  • What if I do not have insurance?
You can still be seen. You get the full number in writing before treatment, and CareCredit and in-house payment options can help spread out larger care.
  • What should I bring to my first visit?
Your dental insurance card, your medical insurance card if you are coming in for sleep or TMJ care, a list of medications, and any prior sleep study results. See what happens at your first visit.

  • “On my last visit I was very pleased with Dr. Bennett’s personal attention and review of my progress since I became a patient. In addition, the receptionist was very helpful in gathering the additional information that my insurance company requested in order to process my claim. I was very pleased with how they tuned in to my needs. Thank you. Ray Snyder”

  • “If I could, I would give them 12 stars! Great office. For a time we had no insurance and they worked with us to make a post and implant for my husband quite manageable. We actually enjoy going to the dentist.”
