WHAT COUNTS AS AN EMERGENCY
Real emergencies, plain rules.

Knocked-out permanent tooth
Every minute matters. Hold the tooth by the crown (not the root), rinse gently if dirty, put it back in the socket if you can, or in milk. Then call.

Severe or throbbing pain
Pain that keeps you up at night or that ibuprofen isn't touching almost always means infection or nerve involvement. Don't wait it out.

Broken or cracked tooth
Save any pieces if you can. Rinse with warm water. If there's a sharp edge, dental wax or sugarless gum can protect your tongue until you're here.

Lost filling or crown
Not always an emergency, but call, a temporary can prevent further damage. Save the crown if you have it.

Swollen face or gum
Facial swelling that spreads to the eye, jaw, or neck is an emergency. Go to the ER if breathing or swallowing is affected.

What are your emergency hours?
Business hours: 8am, 5pm Monday, Thursday. After-hours: voicemail routes to the on-call doctor. For life-threatening emergencies, go to the ER. -
Can I come in without an appointment?
Please call first, we'll almost certainly see you, but calling ahead means the right doctor and equipment are ready. -
What if I'm not a current patient?
We see emergency patients we've never met before. If you become a regular after, great, no obligation. -
Does insurance cover emergency visits?
Most dental plans cover an emergency exam and X-ray. Any treatment beyond that is covered per your plan's rules, we verify before we start. -
Should I go to the ER instead?
Go to the ER if there's facial swelling affecting breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or trauma with possible fractures. Otherwise, we can help faster than an ER can.
