Dr. Dave Smith
DENTIST

Dr. David Smith graduated from Brigham Young University and then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. While taking shelter from tornados, he joined the United States Army, graduated, and moved to Tennessee where he pursued an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Fort Campbell, KY.

With the fighting force of America behind him, he was able to refine his skills in wisdom teeth removal, complicated crown and bridge cases, implant placement and restoration, and various surgical procedures. Dr. Smith was able to acquire unique skill sets and experience with CAD/CAM dentistry, and has an enthusiasm for advancing technologies.

After completing a two year assignment at Ft. Riley, Kansas, Dr. Smith and his family then spent three years in Oahu, Hawaii, working at Schofield Barracks and soaking up the salty air, turquoise crystal blue waters, and the cool tradewinds of the islands. What a soft place to land and end his career serving the US Army. Dr Smith still continues to serve in the Army Reserve Unit in Salt Lake City.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Smith cherishes his time with his wife and four kids. He is passionate about sports, outdoor adventures, and mostly improving his relationships with his precious family. He also enjoys serving in his church and community.

Dr. Smith is thankful to be back home where mountains and kin reside. He loves serving the great people of Utah.

Dr. Mike Bennett
DENTIST

Dr. Mike Bennett is pleased to be back at Advanced Dental Care, where he started his dental career in 1999. After buying the practice from Dr. Sherm Cloward, they continued to give excellent care to all the loyal patients for several more years. Having a thirst for knowledge, Dr. Bennett continued to fine-tune his dental skills while practicing general dentistry and received his Master's in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction about 2% of dentists attain.

After Dr. Cloward retired, Dr. Mike Bennett was fortunate to work with his brother, Dr. Dave Bennett, to whom he eventually sold the practice. Dr. Mike Bennett sold the practice to fill a growing need in the population that was becoming more prevalent. He became passionate about helping people with head, neck, and jaw pain and sleep-disordered breathing issues. His greatest desire was to get to the root cause of people's health problems and offer solutions that could give them hope, healing, and a better quality of life. He ran a specialty clinic treating these issues for over ten years. Along the way, he became board certified in the American Board of Craniofacial Pain and the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Bennett is currently getting his Ph.D. in hopes of someday building an airway-focused dental school in Utah County, which would be the first of its kind.

Dr. Bennett is thrilled to be back" home" with his added knowledge, experience, and expertise. He looks forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, and giving each person the most cutting-edge, comprehensive, compassionate, and caring dental experience possible.

Dr. Bennett loves spending time with his wife, Cathy, and their six children, spouses, and grandchildren. He loves traveling, learning new things, making memories with his family, and eating good food.
