Michael Bennett, D.D.S., F.A.G.D.

Mike Bennett was born in Rifle, Colorado to Charles and Carol Bennett. He is the third of eight children. His formative years he spent mostly in Utah County, which included living in the towns of Provo, Benjamin and Salem. He spent two years on a LDS mission in Christchurch, New Zealand. After completing his mission, he married Cathy Morley of Salem. They are the happy parents of two daughters and four sons.

Dr. Bennett received his educational training from Brigham Young University graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management in 1994. He attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry graduating in the top 10 percent of his class in 1999. He won various awards for original dental research.

His professional associations have included: National Dental Honor Society, (Omicron Kappa Upsilon), the American Dental Association, The Utah Dental Association, The Provo Dental Association, Fellow of The Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Academy of GP Orthodontics, the Academy of Dental Law and Ethics, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.

Dr. Bennett is helping to shape the future of dentistry by interacting with pre-dentistry students at Brigham Young University as a guest lecturer and assistant adjunct professor in the pre-dental program.

Dr. Bennett enjoys creating family memories. Spending time with his family is a favorite pastime of his, particularly in activities such as family bike rides, woodworking, golfing, camping and church and community service activities, traveling, dance and piano recitals and much more.

His educational pursuits after completing the above-mentioned degrees include over 1250 hours of continuing education in all 16 specialties of general dentistry.  Most recently, he has completed a residency in craniofacial pain and dental sleep medicine with Dr. Steve Olmos of TMJ / Sleep Therapy Centre of La Mesa, Ca.  Dr. Olmos directs ten successful clinics throughout the world, treating patients with sleep and TMJ disorders, and provides continuing support to Dr. Bennett in his care of TMJ and chronic pain patients.

Dr. Bennett thoroughly enjoys his practice of dentistry, sleep medicine, and craniofacial pain. As a dental clinician, he is known by is patients to have a unique ability to make office visits more comfortable than what is expected. He has a nice blend of professionalism and compassion. His commitment to his patients is to provide them the highest quality of health care available in a safe and professional environment.
